Mahapran
Ekoham Practice
Duration - 50 Minutes
Period - Early Morning or Before Going to Sleep.
An active practice to stop the chatter of the mind and take out the repressed thoughts and emotions which become very difficult to express in common. Do it consciously and you will be able to see results in only a few sittings. You will feel lighter and more peaceful within and will be able to express yourself more clearly.
“Only in a hollow flute can one fill music. Our chambers are already stuffed. How can you live a life that is peaceful? To see things clearly and fell peace within, it is important that we clean these chambers and only then can life play its music”
An interval bell audio is provided below and is downloadable. A gong bells in the beginning of the practice, at the start of each stage and at the end of the practice. This practice includes two stages which have to be repeated 3 times. Each stage is 5 minutes. This adds to 30 minutes of your practice and then 20 minute meditation.
Note:
Find a quiet corner where nobody can hear you for the next one hour. Do this practice just by yourself.
Practice
Stage One: 5 Minutes
Find a quiet corner where nobody can hear you for the next one hour. Do this practice just by yourself. Be seated in any comfortable posture. Gently start blinking your eyes. Now simultaneously, start speaking in a language you don’t know. Create sentences from whatever distorted words come to your mind. Keep the blinking of your eyes in continuity. Make sure that you are not creating pressure around your forehead. Be completely relaxed. Perform this for five minutes.
Stage Two: 5 Minutes
Now as soon as the first stage is complete, with open eyes choose a very small point near you, just a dot space and direct all your attention to that dot. The point can be somewhere on your wall, floor or any thing which lies near to you. You may also mark this point before you start your practice. For the next five minutes keep all your focus on that one point.
Now as you stare at that point, without hesitating start uttering whatever comes to your mind. But now you have to do this in your day-to-day language. Don't be hesitant. Keep the flow of your words as natural as possible. Don’t manipulate yourself and speak out whatever comes to your mind regardless of anything. Make sure you don't build any pauses between your speech and keep the train of words running.
Now as you complete your second stage, start again with your first stage. The same stage in the given sequences has to be repeated for another 2 times. This adds to 30 minutes of your practice.
Stage Seven: 20 Minutes
Once you have ended the last repetition – in the same position rest yourself in meditation for 20 minutes.
